Mark was initially interviewed by Monty Don at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2016 In 2017 TV presenter Mark joined the main gardening presenter line-up of gardening experts for BBC Gardeners’ World and the RHS Flower Shows (Chelsea, Tatton, Chatsworth, Hampton Court Palace).
Mark is also the ‘Plant and Gardening Expert’ for QVC, home shopping network.
Mark Lane used to be the Publishing Director for the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the Managing Editor for the leading Arts publisher Thames & Hudson.
Mark has gone on to become a published garden writer. Mark has a wealth of knowledge, and further ideas are just waiting to be published.
Mark’s first book ‘Royal Gardens of the World’ was published in September 2020 in English, German and Italian by Kyle Books Ltd. The book looks at 21 inspirational royal gardens which have had a positive impact on horticulture, gardening and garden design over the years. From private royal homes to large palatial gardens, as far afield as Bali and Japan.
