Mark is delighted to become an Ambassador for the national and international charity Leonard Cheshire and ‘Can do Gardening’ campaign. Leonard Cheshire supports individuals to live, learn and work as independently as they choose, whatever their ability. Mark says:
Gardens and gardening offer an immeasurable sense of wellbeing, both physically and mentally. The therapeutic benefits of gardening are well-researched and the wonderful thing about gardening is that anyone can do it. It is free, builds self-esteem, gives purpose to an individual, helps combat isolation, but above all is great fun. If I can do it then so can anyone whatever their ability. I look forward to working with Leonard Cheshire, spreading the importance of gardening, meeting the amazing people behind the scenes and those individuals who have been helped and supported by Leonard Cheshire.
