Concept Designs for the Greatest Show on Earth
We have been invited to create 4 innovative gardens for the Dubai Expo 2020 by the leading partners, which need to look good for 12 months. It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet people from across the globe and make history. The theme of the gardens is a series of activations based around 4 quadrants/themed parts of a unique garden. There will be different elements in each, provided by each of the companies highlighting their technology, sustainability or innovation. All materials and plants will be sourced locally. The gardens will be a legacy and have second lives as they will be dismantled and rebuilt in areas across the UAE. The garden will also be a fully inclusive design. Expos are global events dedicated to finding solutions to fundamental challenges facing humanity by offering a journey inside technology, sustainability and innovation, through engaging and immersive activities. Organised and facilitated by governments and bringing together countries and international organisations, these major public events are unrivalled in their ability to gather millions of visitors, create new dynamics and catalyse change in their host cities. We have 10 months to come up with the idea, source the materials, plants, furniture and sculpture, have conversations with the partners and see their latest technology at work, get it built and planted in time for the grand opening in October 2020.
