Low-maintenance Garden, Warwickshire, UK
Low-maintenance garden on a new-build property, with a walled garden feel
The low-maintenance garden design includes raised brick beds large curved lawn, pergola and more. A curved red brick wall leading off the back of the house acts as a backdrop to the garden. A metal-work pergola dissects the garden into three main parts. First, the socialising space with patio, lawn and low raised beds. Second, the covered walkway with resin-bound aggregate paving. Lastly, a productive garden for growing vegetables, fruits and flowers. The pergola adds height and helps introduce a sense of movement around and through the garden. It invites the client to walk from one area to another. A small Edwardian-style glasshouse completes the look in the productive garden. This is a garden for 12 months of the year.
Matching the colour of the house and neighbouring properties stonework, paving and bricks are used to create a cohesive design. This creates a warm, welcoming harmonious space in a traditional, cottage style, but with a modern twist.
This is a garden for life designed to be enjoyed for years to come. The design is fully accessible and inclusive to all. There is a seamless feel bringing the outdoors inside and vice versa. Mark Lane Designs Ltd has used the concept of place to ensure that the garden works seamlessly in its location. Also, vitally, works perfectly for the client.
