Thai villa on Koh Samui with breathe-taking sea views across the Gulf of Thailand and beyond

This is a private Thai villa and through the use of terracing and rendered walls painted a soft grey to match the colours of the distant horizon, different levels are created. Mood lighting brings the garden to life, while locally-sourced sculpture by craftsmen and women add to the Thai experience.

A large rain-water harvesting tank, hidden from sight, collects rain, which is then re-used in the villa. Secret areas around the villa are the perfect spot for yoga and meditation. Verdant planting with bright colours from flowers, and fruit trees such as mango, banana, lime, papaya and bitter orange create the perfect tropical oasis.

There is a real outside-inside feel, as two sides of the villa are glass-curtain walling and slide back to allow cool breezes to dodge this way and that. Large houseplants will create a further verdant backdrop to a modernised, yet truly Thai villa.
