Woodland garden that is fully accessible

Woodland garden to mimic the edges of a woodland within the inner City. The creation of a fully accessible garden for a family where one of the children has cerebral palsy. There are some beautiful mature trees and this gives a secluded feel, so a natural woodland, woodland edge garden is created with a space for entertaining, a large lawn for parties and ball games and a hidden garden all accessible on anti-slip, anti-glare wide pathways. The planting is low maintenance with seasonal appeal throughout the year. There is also a spot for the parents to go once the children are in bed, as a place to relax and personally reflect. Discrete lighting brings an additional element to the design, and while the Client requested straight lines and geometric shapes the planting in white, blue and pink is also verdant, soft and suitable for a shady garden. This becomes an additional living space for a busy family who love to spend time outdoors, providing an area for personal and group health and wellbeing.

The separate play area and pool for hydrotherapy is the perfect spot for the entire family and friends to enjoy together. Hanging cocoons allow the children to gently float above the ground, while the robust climbing frame helps with muscle strength and hand-eye coordination.
