Mark is both honoured and delighted to be an Ambassador for three incredible charities.
Mark is a new Ambassador for Greenfingers, the national charity dedicated to supporting children who spend time in hospices around the UK, along with their families, by creating inspiring gardens and outdoor spaces for them to benefit from. Mark said:
"I am over to the moon to be a new Ambassador for Greenfingers. Well-designed gardens and outdoor spaces are essential for children, family, friends, siblings and carers. Through play and fun and for therapeutic rest and relaxation, gardens bring the natural environment to the forefront of horticultural therapy and holistic care. I have had experience designing gardens for hospices and I have seen first-hand how these magical spaces help individuals with life-limiting conditions."

Mark is the first Health, Wellbeing and Community Ambassador for Groundwork the environmental community charity. Speaking about his decision to become an ambassaor for Groundwork, Mark said:
"I am both delighted and truly honoured to be Groundwork's first Ambassador. Parks, recreation grounds, open spaces and greener landscapes are the breathing green lung of the UK. They have a direct positive effect on health, well-being and community life and spirit. I am therefore excited to be championing and promoting these qualities that come by directly re-connecting people with nature and by transforming entire neighbourhoods. I have personally experienced the incredible and life-changing effects that green spaces have on a person's body and mind. Groundwork really is the community charity with a green heart and I look forward to working with them to safe-guard our essential, existing and yet to be created greener landscapes."
Groundwork's national chief executive, Graham Duxbury, added:
"We're delighted to have attracted somone of Mark's calibre as our first ever Health, Wellbeing & Community Ambassador. Mark comes with a wealth of experience and also shares our commitment to protecting the future of our parks and open spaces and highlighting the vital role they play in bringing communities together and having a positive impact on their healh and wellbeing.
We look forward to working with Mark to take that message to the widest possible audience and encouraging people to take local action."
Groundwork is the environmental charity with a green heart. They have worked for over 35 years to provide training and create jobs, reduce energy use and waste, re-connect people with nature and transform whole neighbourhoods. Step by step they will go on changing places and changing lives until everywhere is green and vibrant, every community is strong enough to shape its own destiny and everyone can reach their potential.

Mark is a new Ambassador for Thrive, the national charity which uses gardening to positively change lives. Mark said:
"I am so proud to be Thrive's new Ambassador. Gardening and garden design changed my life, without them I certainly would be a different person today. Horticulture and horticultural therapy are wonderful tools for improving both body and mind, and gardening is such a great way to engage with others. I saw this first hand at Thrive's Reading site, and know what great work all of the teams do at Beech Hill, Reading, Battersea Garden Project, Battersea Park, and Trunkwell Garden Project, Trunkwell Park. I plan to get to know all of the teams and meet all of the incredible people that Thrive helps.'
